What is the world coming to?
Individuality is now a thing of the past
You are told what to think, how to act
And when you try to stand out in the crowd
They hunt you down and say that it's not allowed
No wonder why so many people face abuse
Because they chose the road you didn't want them to choose
Everyday it seems the pain just gets worse
You wonder if it's you or just an evil curse

Who are you to judge me by the person that I should be?
Who am I to listen and to believe all your reasons?
What is the world coming to when you can't even be you?

We over think the definition of beauty
We change ourselves so much, we need a new identity
The ones we love are now left behind
Because fitting in takes up all our time
No one knows what the outcome might be
People will accept you or continue to be mean
You sit think about everything you did wrong
You wonder if you should give up or keep holding on

Who are you to control me by the use of popularity?
Who am I to give in for a game that is impossible to win?
What is the world coming to when you can't even be you?

Feeling like you're tired of being kick around
You find the courage to take them down
Everyone is beautiful and no one can disagree
You may feel like one but you'll never be a nobody
In a world where stereotypes dominate
You keep believing and holding onto fate
The walls will crumble all around you
You will finally be able to breakthrough

Who are you to believe that you are the one to mess with me?
Who am I to have waited for you take back the words you created?
What is the world coming to when you can't even be you?

Who are you because you can't tell me what to do?
Who am I not to say that I'm beautiful in every way?
What is the world coming to when they try to be more powerful than you?
