Trying to forget someone you once loved is like trying to remember someone you never knew.

Phil 1:7- For it is right of me to feel this way about you because I hold you very dear to my heart.

Words like arrows piercing
Accusations that are hard to believe
Looks that make me take a second glance
This is not what it's supposed to be
Fights that are never resolved
Fake smiles just to hide
All the thoughts of hurt
Swimming in my mind

You act all sympathetic but everyone knows
That youre the rumor spreader and you water them
Just to watch them grow
Just to watch me fall
But I'm not gonna fall

Is it just because I'm growing up
Is it just because you don't like
The way I dress the way I talk
The sparkle in my eyes
It's like you don't even see all the
Struggles I've been through
You have to put me down to teach me
A lesson or two or three

You act all sympathetic but everyone knows
That youre the rumor spreader and you water them
Just to watch them grow
Just to watch me fall
But I'm not gonna fall

And I can tell that your act has gotten you far
But one of these days you'll grow up
And one of these days you'll learn that
Grownups are supposed to be kind
Grownups are supposed to be able to look me in the eye
Without turning away
This is what you'll find one day
