You checked on me at night,
Made sure everything was all right.
I was a little and I needed that.
He was never here to do the same.
Tuck me in, brush my hair,
whenever I needed you, you were there.
You did everything on your own.
I can't imagine how hard things were on you.
Dream. It's the best thing you can do,
you said.
Butterfly fly away,
you said.
Riding my bike, flying my kite,
you were there and alone,
with no one to hold.
Even though you did it on your own,
you built up my wings so I can fly.
Butterfly fly away.
