Wished Upon a Star
I saw my star the other night, the only one shinning.
As if a sign from him,

To wish upon a star that night, a star that can’t be named.
I wished upon a star last night, and dreamed a peaceful dream.
I wish I wished upon this, the star that’s only mine.
To live another day like today.

As I lie in my bed, I can tell that it’s over.
 I need one more day,

To wish upon a star that night, a star that can’t be named.
I wished upon a star last night, and dreamed a peaceful dream
I wish I wished upon this, the star that’s only mine.
So it could live forever in my heart.

That night I went to find it, but could not see a thing.
 I lie in bed, thinking

To wish upon that star tonight, a star that can’t be named.
I wished upon that star that night, and dreamed peaceful dreams.
I wish I wished upon this, the star that’s only mine.
That I could only whish upon it one more time.

To wish upon a star that night, a star that can’t be named.
I wished upon a star last night, and dreamed a peaceful dream.
I wish I wished upon this, the star that’s only mine.
To dream a dream that can’t be seen, among us any more.

Now that my star is gone, I have no happy thought.
I wish I could find it just one last time.

To wish upon a star that night, a star that can’t be named
I wished upon a star one night, to dream a peaceful dream
I wish I wish upon this, the star that’s only mine,
To let me see it one last time.

I never saw my star again, to old and frail to look.
I told all who listened to me, about that faithful star.
But now as I lie in my bed,
I know no one will ever talk about that star again.
