If snow were magic
Snow falling down, coating the ground
 Making a whole new world
So pure, makes one believe in peace
Those wars where flags were unfurled
People wishing for the pain to cease
If snow were magic, we'd all be safe
No one would fear, kids would run free
If snow were magic, you'd have stayed with me
 Everything is different now
 Nothing ever stays the same
 And I used to vow
That I'd never fall for your game
But as the snow falls I'm alone once more
Somehow you slipped out the door
Those smiles, the way you made me laugh
To you it meant nothing, I was your pawn
And all I can do is write this song
Hoping somehow I'll be able to sleep again
The snow falls, so magically white
 A false blanket of security
 Erasing all of our fights
It's days like these alone in the cold
Where I remember your face the most
Haunted by all the lies that were told
If snow were magic I would smile again
 These tears would fade
The memories would go away of how it was back then
