Roses
Verse 1:
First time he walked through the door
I knew that she seen more
First time I wished I could show her
She was right, it felt so
But when he left those roses
I knew that was the moment,

 Chorus:
 That was the first time
She didn’t let her roses die
 I knew this was new.
 This was the first time
I could see it in her eye
She thought that he was true.
 That was the first time
She didn’t let her roses die.
He came and took them back that night.

 Verse 2:
Not the first time this happened
And I could see she was slowly cracking
First time I wanted to show her
Life through my eyes, was it wrong? It felt so.
But when he left those roses
I knew that was the moment,

 Chorus:
 That was the first time
She didn’t let her roses die
 I knew this was new.
 This was the first time
I could see it in her eye
She thought that he was true.
 That was the first time
She didn’t let her roses die.
He came and took them back that night.
