She thought she was strong
She thought she had strength
Somehow she's lost her way

Can’t believe I let her
Be reduced to nothingness
Overlooked her pain

She was a wilting flower
In the garden of hope
Overshadowed by
Blossoming roses

(When you held me up
I felt completely invincible
And then you let me fall
Spiraling into depths of despair)

And I don’t know
How I let this happen

She told me that she couldn't
Live within her dreams
And so she decided
Her life was worth
Nothing at all

(When you held me up
I felt completely invincible
And then you let me fall
Spiraling into depths of despair)

I wrap you in my warm embrace
Tears envelope your face
No one can save me you said

And you’re spiraling
Into the depths of despair
No time for regrets now

I have always written song lyrics in my head, and finally wrote this one down. This piece conveys my darkest emotions. I know there are people who can relate to it and I hope they will find some comfort, even just an inkling, in knowing someone is surviving through the same ordeals.
