Eglantine a pickin' roses,
on a purple moor.
'Neath a sky of blue-gray,
wrapped in thunder's roar:

A sapphire glitters,
an emerald gleams,
But life, darling Eglantine
is not what it seems;
Take care darling Eglantine,
peace in your dreams.
Eglantine on a rocky beach,
shells in her hand.
Walking amidst the crashing waves,
beating on the sand:
