"A writer is a world trapped inside a person." ~ Victor Hugo

A walrus with wings
A pelican that sings
A doorknob that smiles
A tree that walks for miles
A man with two faces
A spider with maces
A cloud with no beginning
A baseball game with no inning
A clock that tells no time
A poem without a single rhyme
A painter who hates to paint
A pencil, that tends to faint
An elephant with hearing problems
A mouse who hates eating crumbs
A child who hates to play
A magician who doesn’t believe in the Fey
A giant pocketknife that doesn’t work
A toenail, in the shape of a fork
A bite of food that doesn’t want to be eaten
A chess player who is easily beaten
A Monday that doesn’t start in despair
An alligator that can disappear into thin air
A rose without thorns
A moose without horns
These are just a few ridiculous things that out of my mind was baited
That, as a child, my imagination created
