Friends in the Flower Garden
Miscellaneous hues,
 From vibrant green to blue,
 Surround me.

 Each with an intricate pattern,
Each with a tale I’ll soon learn,
The hearts, the soul, even the leaves.

 Each unique,
 I can seek,
 Them, but I’ll never,

 Pick them,
For the petals atop the green stem,
 Will wilt from puppetry.

 I don’t favor one,
 I am the sun,
 Shining on everyone.

 I fetch their water,
They don’t repay me a quarter,
But they do the same for me.

 Friends are flowers,
 And you shower,
 Them when they’re parched.
