I try to watch the wind
But it’s always hidden from me
I can only know its whereabouts
By its rustling through the trees

It sometimes swirls about me
Inviting me to play
Pledging me that if I do come
It would with me stay

It’s a companion for the lonely
An always present friend
I’d love to hear what it is saying
If I could just speak wind

The author's comments:
I wrote this while sitting outside feeling the wind whip my hair around my face. I wondered what the very wind I felt had ever done, throughout all history, and thus, this poem was born.

I agree with ya' Andy49 ol' pal!  I must add that the little picture to this poem is very nice.  It's a great touch to a great poem.  It adds a visual cue to help you picture the poem...next time don't forget to mention the picture...

Very good!  Well done indeed!  I like the very last line.  I'm surprised that it isn't the title of the poem, but I guess that would give too much away!
