Waves

The waves rolled in lively and loud,

With crests like a galloping crowd.

They danced on the shore,

Then dashed off once more

Each one feeling daring and proud.

A surfer once rode with great flair,

His feet barely touching the air.

The sea gave a shove,

He soared like a dove

Then wiped out with seaweed in hair.

A crab in the foam found a shell,

Declared it a beachfront hotel.

But one mighty tide

Came roaring with pride,

And swept him off yelling, “Oh well!”
