Rains Lament
The rain is a lovely thing,
it speaks quietly in the spring
but sometimes it gets irritated
something we don't always anticipate
we listen to it cry and scream
and watch the rage burst through the seams.
The rain, although it yells in thunder
we still sit in awe and wonder
for there really is beauty in pain...
especially for the rain

This piece came to me at like 1 am in a hotel room when I was listening to the rain. It made me think of how beautiful it is even when it's thundering. Which in turn made me think of myself, and how people always use the term "Beauty in pain". Normally when people use that term they say "The storm will pass" and "There's always a rainbow after the storm", but I wanted to show that there is also beauty in the storm. I made nature relatable because I was struggling and needed something to relate to. I hope you enjoyed it!
