Begin Again
Look into his eyes
Do you see that slight shimmer
 I did that to him

 His eyes were once dark
The windows to his soul … closed
 Once vulnerable

 I had the power
I changed him for the better
 Now exposed

 The good and the bad
 Now revealed ready to face
 A chance to start fresh

 Do you see this baby
Do you see that slight shimmer
 He got it from him

 He is the father
and I am the blessed mother
 This is our tiny child

 Challenges were faced
And the problems were dealt with
 A new life began

 This is our young child
The windows to his soul … open
 He is ready to go
