Birthday Poem for Marci, Olivia and me
It’s been one more year
 Our birthday rolled round again
 We are growing up

 Once life was simple
Things were either good or bad
 We were little then

 High school seems fragile
What could be next, what to do?
 All uncertainty

 Yet maybe it’s good
 We become the people who
 We want to be now

 Do you think we are
 Not just a little older
 But wiser as well?
