You Let Them

You let them write your story.
You let them lead the way.
You let them take your glory.
You let them guide you astray.
You let them humiliate you.
You let them break the chain.
You let them create a different hate.
You let them leave you in pain.
You let them take your cement.
You let them pave your road.
They kept designing
even though you " no" ed.
Now as you lie here, on the cold solid floor.
You're fully aware that soon you'll be no more.
They laughed as you cried.
Now you're doing it again, by letting them stand and watch you die.
