I Lost You
Where are you now that you are gone?
Your face is in the pictures of the past
But your words cannot be heard
The moments by your side have ended
And the future looks so empty
 Without you looking back
I have lost you and my search has failed
I only wish you could have been found
Before God strapped you tightly to his guard
And lifted you into the clouds
Leaving behind nothing but a still picture
With a smiling face from years past
The life you led wasn’t perfect
And you always had dreams lingering in your mind
But they never did come true
I hope you have finally found yourself
And I hope someday I will find you too
But most of all I hope you are finally in a life worth living
Where you are happy, where you are safe.

but your words cannot be heard
