The author's comments:

My pieces are representative of my learning. This particular haiku was inspired by my AP Environmental Science course, which is currently covering terrestrial biomes. Estuaries are critical for young species to grow and thrive in, inspiring me to describe a place where life begins and goes on for generations to come!
