"Nothing gold can stay,"

they told me. "Yes," I replied,

"But there is spray paint."

The author's comments:

'Nothing Gold Can Stay' by Robert Frost is one of my favorite poems. It's always stood out to me since my first reading and I've constantly fallen back on the concept of things being gilded, or covered in a gold plating, hiding something underneath, since I first read it. This was actually a part of an English assignment a few years back that I ended up really enjoying. The picture attached? A raw straight from my phone camera that felt fitting for the piece. I hope you enjoy!
