Freedom in Sorrow
Your heart beat,
Pumping life through your veins,
Though no one told your brain this.
The evil force they call cancer,
Fighting against your heart and its life.
As it slowly recedes,
Recedes back to your overworked heart,
Where you find yourself in a state of bliss,
Standing at those pearly gates,
Waiting for your turn to be,
Really, and Truly,
Free.
