ten years
To the Person I’ll Become in Ten Years
I hope you’ve found love;
although I hope you’ve landed your dream job.
I hope you’re planning your first baby’s room
I hope you’re happy.
I hope through all of the hardships
you’ve made it through.
In Ten Years
You’ll be 27.
Old. Very old.
I hope you’ve matured, maybe you’re in graduate school
who knows!
The world works in mysterious ways.
I know right now you’re not taking this seriously, but in ten years,
you’ll be a different person.
A new person.
You’ll be the person you’ve always wanted to be.
I believe in you.
In Ten Years.
