The yellow flower
A soft spring breeze
Blew up on the electric yellow flower Freshly picked from the stem
It was as beautiful as the light of day
The pale, freckled face little girl held the magnificent flower.
Examining every detail and feeling the soft petals
Her gentle red polished nails pressed against the stem
The rough Oklahoma wind rushed through her ear
Making a loud swoooosh and picking up her flower
The little girl cried a puddle of tears
As she was sure she would never see something so beautiful again
