It's the last first day.
The red sunrise
Gazes upon its seniors.
It's the last homecoming.
The football player's eyes
Flare red with determination.
It's the last prom.
Red dresses,
Red desserts,
Red hearts.
It's the last report card.
A+
B-
C+
It's the last day of school.
Faces red with tears,
Seniors saying their last goodbyes.
Senior year:
It's the first of many lasts,
And the last of many firsts.
