A Sunday morning,
The sun blazing down on the water
Reflecting off as if it was glass

Families gather to the edge of the Island,
In hope to see a show from across the lake

Animals from the homes of the people run peacefully
Playing with each other and capturing the attention of their owners

The children’s laughter echoing off the water
Giving the show in front of them more character

People alone or with family,
Enjoying whatever is placed beyond their eyes
Grateful for the life they have
Grateful for the existence of the others around them
And grateful for this Sunday morning
