Year Green
Past and Present
New and Old
The last twelve years have passed
Time nothing but a measurement
To the world started and ended
A year everchanging
Caps fly away and the dregs of childhood pass
We will be green no more
But Possibility
New life
It all lies in the future
A future that we
Only dream of
Think is so close and so far
But time is fickle
Time is not dictated by the rules of emotion
It does not care for green or gray
It ticks and tocks
Neverending
Counting down the days
Until a new green comes our way
