Five Years Old
Second floor of my Aunt’s yellow house
I found myself at the top of the stairs
Staring at the little monster that had
Invaded my home, intruder
Who seem to have my family head over heels, I was five.
I despise him, for stealing my attention and affection
I don't understand what the big fuss is
He looks like one of my dolls, just a lot chubbier
I mean come I’m way cuter than him, I was five.
So there I am at the top of the stairs
Looked straight at him and Ding!!
An idea comes to me
One that I thought was great
I lured him over to me, I was five.
The sound of the wheels on his walker
Crinkling on the wood floor got closer
Finally he was at the top of the stairs with me
And woosh, all it took was one push
All I heard was a big bang and a thud.
I stood there, five years old.
