flowers in my lungs
i keep your flower in my room,
as a reminder of how you used to make my heart bloom.
do you remember how we found it drowning?
-i picked it up,
in hopes to save whatever was left of the petals.
sealed it and flew it all the way back home.
and i had hope for it.
hope for it to grow.
but dead flowers are just dead flowers.
and no amount of sunlight or water can change that.
and the thrones are still present,
and the petals have fell.
oh my how i hope,
that even without me, you are doing well.
