Spring?
Its spring, the sun should be shinning
weather should be warm
April showers should bring May flowers
Her leaves should be swaying in the soft spring air
Petals opening up to her welcoming arms
Animals feeling her warm embrace
Bees feeding her freshly sprouted daisies with their pollen
But is it really spring
The Trees stand Vulnerable and naked
The grass feels sick
Its coloring yellow And dying
Gasping for sun and water and wincing at the touch of the cold fluffy substance that falls from above
Its April not January
Janurary seems to be having separation issues
He lingers on struggling to let go
Janurary strives For attention
Throwing snowballs at Aprils budding flowers
January likes to tease april
He’ll give her a chance to shine and then sneak up with frost bite
chilling her roots and freezing her ambitions
stunting her growth once again
January is a Jerk
Its April not January
April wants to feed our bodies and souls with sun and warmth
January wants to leave us deficient and depressed
He laughs maniacally seeing us mope
Until April pushes through
She tickles us with her rays and soft air
April passes her strength and tips to May
May doesn't let January bully her like April does
She is defensive independent and wants attention
Spring is here
For now
