click, tick
a picture never really captures the reasons behind why you want to freeze the moment in time,
in the first place.
it doesn't capture the distant smell of cut grass from the neighbor mowing their yard,
the birds chirping in the tree above me,
trees rustling in the crisp April wind,
the aroma of Jacy's velvet sugar perfume entering my nostrils,
any time I get near her,
the petals falling off a cherry blossom tree like rain in April.
even though some aspects can be faint,
like the sound of cars passing by on thier way to work,
or taking their kids to practice.
the click of Peyton's camera reminds me that a picture can't capture any of these moments.
my heart does.
