A Life Of Math
Many find math a harrowing, horrid challenge.
A forbidden path to follow.
That path, of dark and cold
afraid of these treacherous waters.
But some are not.
The sailors of these seas,
hours spent in a fantastic universe of the impossible
where it becomes real.
I’m proud to be one of those sailors.
A captain in their stride,
a hero in their cape,
a nerd with their circular goggles resting on their nose.
Many will come by,
some will try and bring them down
pouncing at any chance they have.
But their guard never truly comes down.
An everlasting shield.
For they know something.
They may not be the lion in the vast veldt of land
but they are the king of the jungle.
The isle of math, for them awaiting a golden throne.
A pathway to the alternate.
Into the impossible.
For those who control it
rise up from the shadows,
become the king of the jungle.
And find this immaculate universe.
Those who control math already know,
for the world is just a toy for them.
Clay ready to be molded.
Because to some, those rough
awaiting waters are the perfect challenge.
