Faded Faces
Her skin dressed in ink,
Told a story of a well-lived life.
Each sketch has its own memory.
None the same, but all similar.
As her skin fell and her mind aged.
The pictures slowly distorted,
faces faded and smiles drooped.
She feared her adventures would dim.
As the figures watched her leave,
They promised to remember.
