Change
It starts as a silent wish
A hope
That things can be better
Then it grows
Into something unimaginable
A certainty
That what you believe
Is right
And needs to happen
It shapes the course of our lives
We push for it
We plead for everyone else to listen
We persist
And every so often,
A miracle happens
This elusive gem
That we've been dreaming about
That generations before us dreamed about
It graces us with its company
The change finally gets here
We can see it!
But how can it be so small?

I wrote this piece because I know we all often see change as something scary, something to recoil from. However, change is vital and we need to keep pushing to make the world better.
