A Reach In the Dark
He glanced over and saw nothing. He looked in the trees and saw something running. It was between the bark and the darkness intervening, he saw a shadow’s finger ringed around a branch, creeping. It's grip had followed his path and controlled my palm, this is why I am writing his psalm. Do not go looking in the dark, you'll get hurt. You will end up like me, lost in the dirt. No remains or memories from me, I'm as dead as a human can be. I can't tell you what happens when you die because I am here alone, but tell me why the dark is where you roam? If I could rewind time, I would make the absence of light a crime. When I walked and got lost it was the cost of my life. Let your hand relax so I can release your tension, leave this place and me you’ll never mention. I went inside your backpack and used your black ink pen, I hope I have to never warn you again. Don't try to play with the creatures that scatter at the bottom, it's their fault I have fallen. They want you to follow them and you will, then everything will go downhill.
The nerves back in my hand makes me shudder, but my body was completely recovered. The scratches and bruises I thought he would leave, were never there to my belief. The thing and the entity that cautioned me, I never got to give an apology. I am sorry you lost your existence, but thanks to that I can keep my distance. Keep my distance from what is in there, the things that leave no one to spare. It takes souls and leaves skeletons bare. It was such a mistake to go in to evil’s lair. I am grateful you chose my body to possess, maybe now you’ll be laid to rest. I hope you know I followed your word, I’ll never go back to be in your world. I pity the fool who walks on that ground, they will never be found. No one is as lucky as I, you’ll never guess what I have descried. The darkness that hides and promises you with lies. Looking back I don’t know how I survived, going in there was practically suicide. If my life ended no one would be warned, bodies would stack up and more people would mourn. There is no sign with big red words, you were truly martyred.
