The Dogwood's Light
It shines its light on me
Smiling sweetly as it sways in the wind
Through thick and thin there she is
Smiling sweetly
Through my frosted window
Her white light blinds me
Her innocence and purity
I sit down with a hot steaming
Cup of coffee and look out
The window that had been touched by jack frost
To see her smiling sweetly
I wake up and look outside to see the
And the ice like bitter birches
And the dogwood tree that had been dead for years
