Festive Night
On Christmas Eve, I went to church.
I could see many shades of red
throughout the place and
bright faces
on all the eager little children.
The sweet melodies
of the choir singing.
The candles lit around the church.
The whole place festive
in colorful decorations.
Everyone singing
in delight,
with smiles on their faces.
While I await the Christmas day to come.
