Free Living
I’ve finished the era of hitting snooze five times every morning dreading the thought of school,
Now is the new era,
A time of endless nights with the friends I now consider family
Late night drives underneath the bright stars that slightly lit up the dark backroads
Our speakers are threatened to burst at the high volumes of our music playing
There’s no exact destination so we just drive and don't worry about being home time for curfew because now we don't have one
My bed stays vacant as I travel across the country
An every night that I spend doing whatever till the ray of the sun begins to shine across the horizon line
Tasty foods spike my taste buds at each new little restaurant I discover
My brain pierces with such horrid pain as I take a way too big of a bite of my birthday cake shake
My life has taken a turn with all of this freedom
The elephant on my chest has been lifted
and worrying about whether or not I'll make it in this big world goes away
I’ll make it
I’ll be okay
I’m free living
