I am not just a nightmare.
You just need better glasses.
I can be scary but it’s the way I am.
I am a reflection of your fears.
All I try to do is help.
If I show you your fears,
You may not be scared of them anymore.
I am not just a nightmare.

I am just a scared boy.
When I have nightmares,
I wake up and run
screaming down the hall
Into my parents room
I can be easily scared.

I am just a scared boy.

I am not just a nightmare.
I try to be your friend
But you are afraid of me.
I’m sorry I show you your fears
But I have a good reason
You just have to believe me
I am not just a nightmare.

I am just a scared boy.
Nightmares suck
All they do is remind me
That I am afraid of everything
I am just a scared boy.

I am not just a nightmare
I hope that one day you will see
That I’m not just a dream
And maybe then we will become friends
I am not just a nightmare

This is a two person poem. I wrote this peom because I wanted to make the nightmare have feelings and give their side of why they do what they do.
