Taking the Leap
When you feel someone is worth the fall,
What else to do than step off the cliff?
You care about this person so much, you hope they catch you
But what if that were to change
What if you fell for them, and they said oops butterfingers?
Or if you fell and they said I just want to be friends?
  What do you do then?
Do you just walk it off and hope that next time you actually get caught?
If you fell that one time, why would you want to risk being hurt
Who wants to have that happen again?
No one, well, no one you would expect
That is where I seem to be
  I fall again and again
When I get back to my feet, I look for the next cliff
My heart ends up more broken than before the leap
But that is what happens when you have a big heart
Everyone gets hurt in this world, some more than others
But the big hearts tend to hurt more
No one sees that either, the big hearts don’t show
They don’t show because they don’t want others to feel pity for them
But that my dears, that is the world we live in
