Gray is a girls best friend
I’m shaking
Trembles that I cannot stop
An effect on the side
I’m trying to get better
I promise
All my hard work desegregates when you’re by my side
The drums start to pound
My lips begin to stutter
I want to get out
I want to leave
I swear I was better
The darkness seemed to turn to a light gray
Oh what a beautiful color
The in between
My happy place
I want to stay
But you
Yes you
Made my pretty color start to decay
Turned to black
With no second to spare
I worked so hard to get there
But it’s okay
Because no one understands
So I clench onto my gray
I’ll get there again someday
I promise to you
I’m okay
