Reminiscing
Summer nights are best spent with friends,
Hoping the good time never ends,
It’s going to the beach for the day,
Or catching Fireflies who saunter in every way,
But soon summers over and it’s time for fall,
And the need for raking leaves begins to call,
Forcing me to get out of my warm bed,
The cold air evoking the feeling of dread,
As school progresses I am drowning in endless things that must be done,
Wishing summer was back and I could just have fun,
Trying and failing to get needed sleep,
I fall like the leaves and collapse in a heap.
