Childhood Memory
You laid there, in that bed,
unable to speak, with a tube in your throat.
Why did this happen?
It was just a check-up they said.
Then they messed up
and I lost you.
I regret not seeing you for awhile,
I’m so sorry but I was scared.
I miss you so,
Early November was when we said goodbye,
It was dark and cloudy
Such a cliche,
On such a sad day.
