The Mask
During the day,
She holds an elegant smile that lights up the room.
She laughs with the crowd.
She forgets about the pain.
When she leaves school,
She remembers the day that had past.
Some of the good things,
A lot of her past.
During the night,
She thinks about her life.
All that she wants to do, all that has been done.
She remembers the pain,
And tries to cry it all away.
As she makes her way to school,
She puts on the mask of how everyone sees her.
