Breaking News
Another shooting,
this one in California.
It almost seems as if
people are used to it by now.
“Oh, another shooting,
what a tragedy,
on to other news.”
What about those families?
What about those communities?
Those people can’t
go through their lives.
Those kids, can’t experience the
joy of getting a new car.
Those moms and dads,
can’t see their little children grow up.
But yes, let’s move on to the next thing,
while we count down the days to the next shooting.
