Locked Away
My son is thirteen
and he has locked
himself away.
He thinks he is nothing and
has no friends, so
he has locked
himself away.
He has a perception
that he is no fun
and has no worth.
By feeling depressed
and lonesome,
he has locked
himself away.
Stressing
over his goals
and future,
he has locked
himself away.
My son is thirteen,
and in doubt
and carrying a burden
on his back,
has locked
himself away.
I have tried to help,
but he has locked
himself away.
