Nightmare
My palms begin to sweat,
As my teeth begin to gnash,
Demons, monsters, evil spirits,
Each appear in a flash,
Smothered by such creatures,
Caught in blood-curling illusion,
Hoping that these images,
Are ones of a delusion,
I scream and yelp unknowingly,
In hope that help is near,
Then continue these anxious thoughts,
And find to still be stuck in fear,
Finally I awake,
From the brightness of the sun,
Then rest my eyes again at dusk,
For another one,
Nightmare
