Dear Mom,
I started as a root, fighting to break through the ground.
You helped me get through and you were always around.
Among all the others, I was just a sprout.
Without you, I wouldn’t be able to stand out.
You shaped my life and everything around me;
I see the world as an opportunity to grow and become my own tree.
I will spread my branches as far as I can reach,
Always willing to lend a hand and teach.
Not by my words and how much I know,
But by my actions and what I show.
You are the reason that I now stand tall,
Your struggles and perseverance have shown me that I can conquer it all.
