Dwelt between the kingdoms,
Skin mingling with the atmosphere,
Drenched in lustrous sterility,
Effulgence engulfing my lungs,
Gasping,
Hovering till release,
Disgustingly pure.

While I myself am not religious, I find myself contemplating the notions of spirituality and religion quite often. This poem is the result of one of my thoughts regarding the possibility of an afterlife and the idea of Purgatory.
