The Large Cage With A Small Dog
A small dog in a large cage may
not know of the cage at all.
She may wander for most of her life feeling free,
happy.
Eventually she will find herself
standing before a wall of wire.
Her world suddenly shrinks,
She reaches her limit,
There is nothing left for her here.
She can see there,
More to be discovered,
More experiences to be had,
And none of it hers.
She lives in a different world,
She is trapped.
There it was,
that her happiness came to an end.
She knew then there was no hope of escape,
Nothing further.
She dies off saddened by her truth.
