The Forest
Tall standing wooden giants named Red Maple
leaves flecked with sun
Wind making the trees dance
Blooming flowers rich in colour,
Variants of Red, Yellow, Blue and purple,
Making a rainbow on the water soaked dirt
Birds singing on the twisted warped branch
Everything seems too real
You can’t see, you can’t feel,
You question everything,
As the sun sets
Silence falls as night arrives
Only crickets chirping,
Your questions are answered
You’re bodies gone
You’ve lost it all
Waiting for your soul to leave
Return to the void,
Never to return
