Dealing with my Obsessive Personality
My obsessive personality is a loop.
It can be a blessing and sometimes a curse.
It can help in school; keeping me focused and alert.
It prevents me from failing.
Other times it doesn't help and my mind whirls with, worry.
Usually when something is out of my control.
I was born with the need to control my world.
When I see how the world is changing.
Part of me wants to be a dictator like Napoleon; scaring me.
I then become an extreme moral relativist, wanting to do away with choices.
Then there is the other part of me; the one who feels compassion.
This brings me back to I would rather be in my “happier place”.
Seeing the good in the world and hoping for brighter days.
So for better or for worse my obsessive personality is a loop.
I know that the good and the scary will come back around.
These are just some of the parts of me.
Some of the parts I don’t always like to see.
